Boating on the river at Bath Boating Station, Forester Road, Bathwick, or a canal narrowboat on the Avon on the east bank below Pulteney Bridge. Paddle-steamers and canal boats to Bathampton along the Kennet and Avon Canal. Bath Sports and Leisure Centre, North Parade Road, offers most sports. Angling - coarse fishing on the River Avon and the Kennet and Avon Canal. Public bowling greens at Royal Victoria Park and Sydney Gardens. Cricket at Bath Cricket Club, opposite the Sports and Leisure Centre, and Lansdown Cricket Club at Combe Park. Also county cricket on the Recreation Ground. Golf at Bath Golf Club, Sham Castle, Lansdown Golf Club on Lansdown, Entry Hill Golf Course on Combe Down, and Approach Course adjoining Royal Victoria Park off Weston Road. Horse racing on top of Lansdown in the flat-racing season (May to October). Rugby, Bath Rugby Football Club play at the Recreation Ground. Soccer at Bath City Football Club play at Twerton Park, also a ground at Lansdown.
